# wRVU Tracker > wRVU Tracker (https://www.wrvutracker.com) is a free web app for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and residents who are paid on or measured by work RVUs (wRVUs). It combines an RVU tracker, a wRVU calculator, and a CPT/HCPCS code lookup built on the official CMS Physician Fee Schedule. Tagline: "Know your wRVUs before payroll does." Users log the CPT and HCPCS codes they perform. wRVU Tracker prices each entry with the CMS fee schedule year for its date of service (2026 is current; 2020 to 2026 supported), totals productivity, tracks pace toward wRVU targets, projects what the next paycheck should be, compares output with specialty benchmarks, and exports data as CSV. No patient information is needed or stored. ## Key facts - Who it is for: employed physicians and advanced practice providers on wRVU-based or productivity-bonus contracts, across more than 90 specialties (hospitalists, emergency medicine, primary care, surgery, anesthesia, radiology, and more). - Data source: CMS Physician Fee Schedule (work, practice expense, malpractice, and total RVUs, plus the conversion factor), updated every year. About 7,600 CPT and HCPCS codes per year. - Conversion factor: $32.3465 in 2025; in 2026 it is $33.4009, or $33.5675 for qualifying APM participants. The 2026 fee schedule also cut work RVUs by 2.5% for non-time-based services (most procedures and imaging); office visits and other time-based services such as E/M were exempt. - Free tools with no account: RVU calculator, CPT code lookup, specialty pages, GPCI directory, most common codes. - Current version: wRVU Tracker 3.0 (October 2026), which introduced the customizable Dashboard with widgets and a separate Dashboard for each job. - Free account: up to 100 logged procedures, one job, one active target, a customizable Dashboard (move and resize widgets) with the Favorites and Quick Log widgets, analytics, compensation tracking, CSV export. Free forever, no card required. - Pro: $14.99 per month or $119 per year. Dashboard Analytics widgets (Trend Chart, Productivity Patterns, Top Procedures, Period Summary), extra Target Progress widgets, a separate Dashboard for each job, unlimited logging, multiple jobs, multiple active targets, personalized benchmarks, CSV import, priority support. - Works in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop, and can be added to the phone home screen like an app. ## Capabilities - Customizable Dashboard: drag, resize, and rearrange widgets on desktop and phone. Free Favorites and Quick Log widgets give one-tap logging; Pro adds Analytics and extra target widgets. - Fast shift logging: favorites, recent codes, and batch entry for a full shift, with modifiers, quantity, date of service, and job on each entry. - Target pacing: weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly wRVU targets with ahead/behind status, required wRVUs per day, and projected finish. - Pay projection: estimate the next paycheck and pacing toward bonus thresholds. - Compensation models: dollar-per-wRVU productivity, salary plus productivity threshold, pay-per-shift, lump-sum entries, or tracking only. - Multiple jobs: separate employers or sites, each with its own compensation model, rate history, office (non-facility) or facility setting, and CMS year. - Employer reconciliation: compare logged totals with employer-reported RVUs to find missing charges. - Analytics: wRVU trends over time and most-used codes, plus an optional weekly summary email. - CPT/HCPCS lookup: work, practice expense (facility and non-facility), malpractice, and total RVUs, and estimated Medicare payment. - Modifiers: 26, TC, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 59, 62, 74, 76 to 82, AS, XE, XP, XS, XU with Medicare adjustments to wRVUs. Surgical package modifiers (54, 55, 56, 78) use each procedure's official CMS pre-, intra-, and post-operative split. Each job can follow Medicare modifier rules (default) or give full credit. - Anesthesia mode: anesthesiologists and CRNAs log cases as anesthesia units (base units + time units + P3-P5 physical status units). Time is entered as start/end times or total minutes and defaults to the Medicare rule (minutes / 15, one decimal), with an option to round up to whole 15-minute units. QK, QX and QY credit 50%; AD credits 3 base units. Units are kept separate from wRVUs and never converted; separately billed procedures (nerve blocks, lines, TEE, critical care) still count as wRVUs. The specialty in Settings governs the whole account: dashboard, insights, targets, analytics, peer comparison, exports and the weekly email all use ASA units. Earnings use a dollar rate per unit, plus an optional dollar rate for procedure wRVUs. Peer comparison and benchmarks stay within the user's own specialty, so anesthesiologists and CRNAs are compared separately. Changing specialty requires a confirmation and then recalculates existing cases without deleting anything. Logging is free, and each case counts as one procedure. A free public Anesthesia Units Calculator (base + time + modifying units with a Medicare dollar estimate) is at https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-calculator/anesthesia/ - Code comparisons and year-over-year wRVU changes. - Specialty benchmarks: 25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th percentile wRVUs for more than 90 specialties. - GPCI reference values for every state and Medicare locality (reference only; not applied to logged wRVUs). - CSV export of the full history on every plan; CSV import on Pro (duplicates are skipped and RVUs are recalculated from CMS data). - Account recovery: users choose to reset a forgotten password with an emailed link or, for accounts with a verified mobile number, a 6-digit text code. Changing or removing a verified number requires a code sent to the current number. An email is sent whenever a password changes. Accounts activated by text are still asked to confirm their email address; a number added before the email was confirmed is removed when the password is reset through the email link. ## Main pages - [Home](https://www.wrvutracker.com/): overview and free signup - [RVU calculator](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-calculator/): calculate wRVUs and total RVUs for any combination of codes - [Anesthesia Units Calculator](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-calculator/anesthesia/): base, time and P3-P5 modifying units for any anesthesia code, with QK/QX/QY/AD rules and a Medicare estimate at the 2026 anesthesia conversion factor - [CPT code lookup](https://www.wrvutracker.com/cpt-lookup/): search codes by number or description - [What is an RVU?](https://www.wrvutracker.com/what-is-an-rvu/): relative value units, the three components, and the Medicare payment formula - [What is a wRVU?](https://www.wrvutracker.com/what-is-a-wrvu/): work RVUs, 2026 values for common codes, and how they drive physician pay - [CPT code pages](https://www.wrvutracker.com/cpt/99213/): one page per code, for example CPT 99213 - [RVU logger](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-logger/): how daily logging and target tracking work - [Features](https://www.wrvutracker.com/features/): full feature list - [Pricing](https://www.wrvutracker.com/pricing/): Free and Pro plans - [Reviews](https://www.wrvutracker.com/reviews/): verified reviews and star ratings from physicians, NPs and PAs who use wRVU Tracker - [FAQ](https://www.wrvutracker.com/faq/): pricing, codes, modifiers, CMS years, exports, privacy - [Specialties](https://www.wrvutracker.com/specialties/): specialty hubs, benchmarks, and specialty calculators - [Most common CPT codes](https://www.wrvutracker.com/most-common-codes/): by category and specialty - [Compare codes](https://www.wrvutracker.com/compare/): side-by-side CPT comparisons - [2026 RVU changes](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-changes-2026/): what changed in the 2026 fee schedule - [Resources](https://www.wrvutracker.com/resources/): free RVU guides for physicians and APPs - [RVU tracking for nurse practitioners](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-tracker-for-nurse-practitioners/): NP wRVU pay, the Medicare 85% rule, incident-to billing, benchmarks, and common codes - [RVU tracking for physician assistants](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvu-tracker-for-physician-assistants/): PA wRVU pay, the Medicare 85% rule, assist-at-surgery (modifier AS), benchmarks, and common codes - [How to calculate RVUs](https://www.wrvutracker.com/resources/how-to-calculate-rvus/): the RVU and Medicare payment formulas with worked examples - [Daily RVU logging guide](https://www.wrvutracker.com/resources/daily-rvu-logging-guide/): when to log, what to track, and how to verify pay - [RVU tracking guide](https://www.wrvutracker.com/rvus-for-hospitalists/): common codes, benchmarks, and how RVUs drive compensation - [GPCI directory](https://www.wrvutracker.com/gpci/): GPCI values by state and locality - [Data sources](https://www.wrvutracker.com/data-sources/): methodology and CMS sources - [Help Center](https://www.wrvutracker.com/help/): guides for using the app - [About](https://www.wrvutracker.com/about/) ## Optional - [Full product details and FAQ](https://www.wrvutracker.com/llms-full.txt) - [Sitemap](https://www.wrvutracker.com/sitemap.xml)
